Job Description

Job Purpose:  Website Executive’s key purpose will be to support the Category Development Manager to deliver the Hozelock UK & International digital strategy and development

Key Relationships: UK and International Marketing and Commercial Teams; Website agencies; HR and Consumer Services

Key focus areas: UK and international Hozelock websites; Retailer e-commerce sites; Digital asset creation

Key Responsibilities: Digital asset creation and maintenance of Hozelock’s Consumer and Customer websites

  • Ensure a seamless and user-friendly on-line experience, optimising website product pages, information pages, promotional campaigns and mobile responsiveness across all websites.
  • Take control of the organic growth of Hozelock’s websites. You will be responsible for our SEO strategy from planning to execution.
  • Conduct SEO tasks such as keyword research, technical audits, on-page optimisation, content creation, copywriting and analysis.
  • Upload of User and SEO friendly digital content (both written and visual) on Hozelock and Customer websites.
  • Create and implement SEO strategies that will improve our rankings, increase our organic traffic and grow organic’s % share of our targeted website traffic.
  • Review and act on technical site audits to keep our websites in the best technical health (working alongside and supported by our web development agency).
  • Explore how AI tools could be used to support our content creation and SEO efforts.
  • Use analytics to report on performance to ensure Hozelock websites deliver top ratings for Hozelock and where necessary, recommend and act on improvements.
  • Create, manage and improve the digital assets database with relevant stakeholders to ensure it is updated, is accurate, meets brand guidelines and ensures all assets and links are easily accessible to the commercial teams.
  • Handle customer and consumer website enquiries – creating high-quality and efficient digital tools to solve any problems as they arise.
  • Any other projects or duties required, to assist in supporting the achievement of Company objectives.

  • Experience in the use of CMS systems, e-commerce, web user experience and user journey.
  • Experience of keyword research, technical audits, on-page optimisation, copywriting, reporting and analysis.

  • Proven problem-solving, organisation, communication and time management.
  • Ability to highlight opportunities for growth, produce actionable insights and deliver on them.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented, to ensure all work completed is correct.
  • You will be confident, adaptable and flexible. Someone who can talk about and find solutions for Website performance/explain issues to key stakeholders at all levels in a clear and coherent way.

 

Education and/ or Experience:

  • Digital asset production.
  • Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign; Illustrator; Premier Pro; Photoshop), an advantage.
  • Competent in the use of CMS systems: including WordPress/WPML and Magento 2.
  • An understanding of PIM/DAM systems.
  • An understanding of Consumer Service software, such as Zendesk.
  • Confident in using tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console.
  • E-commerce.
  • Turning ideas into workable plans.
  • Used to working in a busy, fast paced working environment.
  • Foundation degree, HND or degree in web content management; web development or web design preferred, but not essential.
