Looking for year-round colour? Make sure you’re planting in Autumn!
Summer may be over but there are still lots of jobs you can do to keep your garden looking good throughout autumn and beyond.
October is the perfect bulb planting month to ensure a vibrant display of spring colour carpets your garden come April.
Cut back the remnants of your summer plants and give your soil a good digging over. Trim back overgrown shrubs and trees – ready for them to sleep through the winter. Tidy up the fallen leaves to allow your soil to breathe ready to plant out your spring bulbs such as the popular daffodil and tulip.
So, while the weather is still fairly mild, get outdoors and prepare your garden for the harsh winter months!
