Job Description


To Manage all aspects of the transport and office functions

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, and ensure these are adequately delegated in the absence of the job holder.
  • Manage ‘O’ Licence
  • Install KPI measures
  • Complying with drivers’ hours
  • Maintaining servicing on all vehicles via Excel worksheet
  • Managing processes and procedures
  • Managing a team of 6
  • Maintaining current legislation
  • Download drivers cards
  • Download vehicle units
  • Manage drivers infringements
  • Manage all customer orders
  • Prioritise orders with Distribution Manager
  • Liaise with Sales Office
  • Manage Hozelock transport
  • Manage all carriers to arrange trailer collections
  • Liaise with Marketing and Commercial teams to organize transport for the trade shows
  • Control of UK and Overseas deliveries
  • Manage and organise the day-to-day activities with the team

Key Skills:      

  • Order well management, transport co-ordination and maintenance
  • Manage web applications and booking expectations
  • Knowledge of the transport industry/ UK and International
  • SAP knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must have a can-do attitude

Education and/or Experience

  • Level of English and maths, good communicator and website experience.
  • Excellent Excel and Word experience
  • Internet familiar
