Celebrating the UK’s Number One Compact Reel
Our Compact Reel Turns 20!
This year marks a very special milestone for us at Hozelock, our beloved Compact Reel turns 20 years old! For two decades, this little powerhouse has been by the side of gardeners across the UK, becoming a firm favourite and proudly holding its place as the UK’s number one compact reel.
From first‑time gardeners to long‑time enthusiasts, the Compact Reel has earned its reputation through what we love most: thoughtful design, everyday practicality, and dependable performance. So today, we’re celebrating 20 years of innovation and a product that has truly been Timed. Tested. Trusted.
Innovation That Stands the Test of Time
When the Compact Reel launched, the goal was simple: create a hose solution that was easy to use, easy to store, and built to last. Two decades later, it’s still doing exactly that, proving that good design really does endure.
Why gardeners loved it then and still love it now:
2‑in‑1 Functionality
One of the features that makes the Compact Reel so versatile is its ability to be used wall‑mounted or free‑standing.
Perfect for renters or anyone who prefers flexibility, you can enjoy a tidy setup without needing to drill into walls.
Lightweight & Truly Compact
As the name suggests, the Compact Reel is lightweight and easy to carry. Whether you’re moving it to the front garden, back garden, or into storage for winter, it’s designed to go wherever you need it.
Protected & Durable
The fully enclosed case helps prevent wear and tear, making it a tough companion for all kinds of gardening tasks. Dirt, weather, and everyday knocks are no match for it.
Everything You Need in One Box
The reel arrives as a complete kit, with hose, fittings, connectors, and nozzle, so you can get watering straight away. No extra parts, no fuss.
Built Strong, Season After Season
From heavy watering sessions to cleaning jobs, the Compact Reel is made to withstand hard‑wearing tasks time after time. It’s a reliable choice that has earned the trust of gardeners for 20 years… and counting.
