HOZELOCK GO GARDENING FOR LIFE

Hozelock have unveiled a new look. The watering equipment market leader has created a sun-drenched new corporate identity, including a new Gardening for Life tag line, which will be applied this autumn to all of its watering product packaging, point of sale material, advertising, literature, signage and vehicle liveries – and to its TV commercials in 2011.

The summery graphics depict a “hose-eye” view of the foreground featuring glistening grass, a family of soft-focus gardening characters in the middle distance and a golden sunburst background with yellow sky, all combining to create a warm, three-dimensional scene of nature, activity and growth.

Creative new variable focus photography – shot from unconventional perspectives – reinforces the new Gardening for Life theme with products depicted in use by young and old in a naturalistic family environment.

According to the company's research, the new identity reflects and reinforces long-held consumer perceptions of the Hozelock brand built on over half a century of British gardening expertise and craftsmanship.

"The company has notched up a lifetime of gardening knowledge and pride in our craft and we wanted to show that in our new brand image," says Marketing Director, Simon McArdle.

He went on: “We also wanted to reflect the fact that our products are helping people of all ages to bring their gardens to life. It’s a higher level of emotional engagement with our customers, emphasising that our products don’t just deliver water – they deliver flowers and vegetables with passion, knowledge, craftsmanship and an intimate understanding of British gardeners’ needs.”
